COURSE OUTLINE
WEEK ONE
In BAKERY’s Half-Dozen kick-off week, you’ll learn to lay the foundation of your business through the ultimate organization tool: the business plan. You’ll learn how to create an effective business plan, what/when to use it, how to present it, and of course, will receive downloadable templates, questionnaires and forms to complete a personalized business plan that fits your needs by the end of the week. Bonus?  Tune into a multimedia presentation from one of BAKERY’s former clients!

WEEK TWO
For our second week, we’re talking marketing, branding and all things strategic. Again, you’ll receive plenty of information, useful tips and downloadable goodies, a marketing plan template you can personalize and a step-by-step video on optimizing your marketing strategies.

WEEK THREE
Week three is dedicated to the media kit and is chocked full of tutorials re: product photography, press kit compilation and copywriting tips. By the end of the week, you’ll receive advice on your own media kit and how you can improve the single-most important self-promotional tool for your business.

WEEK FOUR
In week four, you’ll hear from one of BAKERY’s favorite public relations professionals, specializing in indie businesses. Receive tips from the pros, pitch email templates and media etiquette. Consider this your public relations crash course to success!

WEEK FIVE
We’re talking ads in week five — how to measure them, creating an ad plan and where your ad dollars will be best spent. Not buying advertising? We’ve got something for you bloggers who sell ads, too… ;)

WEEK SIX
Week six is networking week, and we’ve interviewed today’s top bloggers, movers and shakers in the independent industry to find out how/what/where they’re spreading the word about their businesses. Learn how to juggle social networking with your busy schedules, network offline and promote yourself without looking like a talking billboard.
